Adjective Clauses With “Where”, “When”

“When” is used for time relative clauses.

(When is used with the words “the year”, “the day”, “the time”, “the month”, etc.)

January 11^th is the day when my daughters were born.

Grandpa remembers the old days when there was no television. [1]

 

“Where” is used for relative clauses describing places.

The store where I shop for food is around the corner.

The store where the new phone was being sold had a huge line of people outside it. [1]
